A stunning video of a daring rescue by Forest Beat Officer G S Roshni from Kerala has taken the internet by storm. The clip, shared by retired IFS officer Susanta Nanda, captures the officer fearlessly rescuing a massive king cobra from a shallow stream in the Paruthipalli Range. With steady hands and remarkable skill, Roshni is seen using a snake-catching stick to safely secure the venomous reptile — a true display of courage and composure.

The king cobra had been spotted in a stream frequently used by locals for bathing, prompting concern in the area. Responding swiftly, Officer Roshni — part of a five-member Rapid Response Team — stepped in to handle the situation. She carefully extracted the snake from the water and later released it deep into the forest, ensuring the safety of both residents and the animal.

"My salutations to the green queens & the bravery shown by them in the wild. Beat FO G S Roshni, part of the Rapid Response Team of Kerala FD, rescuing a 16-foot king cobra. This was the 1st time she was tackling a king cobra, though she is credited to have rescued more than 800 snakes," Mr Nanda wrote while sharing the clip.

The video has drawn widespread praise on social media, with viewers applauding her fearless attitude and professionalism.

Among those who took notice was India's legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who commended Roshni for her heroics.

"Graceful, courageous, and fearless, all in a day’s work for Officer Roshni," Tendulkar wrote, joining a chorus of admiration from across the country.

One user summed it up best: “Queen handling a king — a real-life hero at work.”

As per PTI, Over her nearly eight-year service with the Kerala Forest Department, she has successfully rescued over 800 snakes, both venomous and non-venomous.
