Bangladesh produced one of the biggest upset in cricket as they completed a clean sweep over Pakistan in the two-match Test series. Bangladesh had secured a 10-wicket win in the opening encounter, and heading into the second and final Test, which was played at the same venue in Rawalpindi, only a few had expected the outcome to remain the same. The hosts appeared favourites on paper and going by what we saw in the initial stages of Bangladesh's first innings, Pakistan were in complete control of the proceedings. However, the hosts were stumped by a phenomenal batting performance by wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das and bowling all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz after Bangladesh were reduced to 26/6 in the first innings. The pair added 165 runs for the seventh wicket, a substantial effort by the duo to bring Bangladesh back on course. Litton, who was named Player of the Match, had scored 138(228), while Mehidy chipped in with a pivotal 78(124), taking Bangladesh's total to 262/10 in response to Pakistan's 274/10.

Bangladesh like the opening Test then bundled out Pakistan for a paltry 172/10 in the second innings, leaving them with a modest 185-run chase, which they completed with six wickets to spare. Following the match, Litton revealed the conversation he had with Mehidy during the 165-run stand.

"Big achievement for the Bangladesh team and as part of the team, I'm really happy. Credit goes to Mehidy (on the partnership), I got hit, so I couldn't score runs at the start, he just said let's get some boundaries, kill their momentum and it'll get easier after the lunch break. It's a team game, you need to bat, bowl and field well, everyone did well, except in that first half of the first innings," he was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

He also mentioned how he enjoys wicketkeeping duties in Tests during the post-match presentation ceremony. "I like keeping in Tests, that is my role and when I do well behind the wicket, the team does well too."
