Jasprit Bumrah is usually a quiet character, who enjoys his time bowling and avoids confrontations. But on Thursday evening, the premier pacer decided to engage in one but virtually. Responding to a post by Mohammad Kaif on X, Bumrah took a brutal jibe at the ex-India cricketer.
Sharing his observation from the ongoing Asia Cup, Kaif wrote: “Bumrah under Rohit would generally bowl overs 1, 13, 17, 19. Under Surya, in Asia cup, he bowled a three-overs spell at the start. To avoid injury, Bumrah these days, prefers to bowl while his body is warmed up. 1 over of Bumrah in the remaining 14 overs is a huge relief for batters, against stronger teams at World Cup, this could hurt India."
Reposting Kaif's post, Bumrah in response wrote: "Inaccurate before inaccurate again."

Bumrah spearheading India's attack bowled three overs in a row with the new ball in India’s Super Four matches at the Asia Cup, against Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Bumrah has been an intense subject of discussion over workload management, especially during and after the five-match Test series against England, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Even before India left for the tour, the management had decided that the pacer would only play three out of five Tests.

After skipping the fifth and final Test, he left the squad earlier than his teammates and there were questions over his participation at the Asia Cup, but the 31-year-old has turned up. He is now selected for India’s Test squad for a two-match home series against the West Indies, which starts from October 2.
Kaif in July this year had dropped an explosive assessment on Bumrah that he may announce retirement from Tests, explaining that the pacer has lost the battle against fitness. Kaif had made the observation during India's fourth Test in Manchester, during which the pacer faced criticism from a section of people over a significant reduction in his pace.
