RR vs MI, IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians match preview, Dream 11 predictions, head-to-head

RR vs MI, IPL 2025: All eyes would be on Vaibhav Suryavanshi when 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday. In the Royal’s last match against the Gujarat Titans, on Monday in Jaipur, Vaibhav became the youngest and fastest Indian to get a century in the IPL, smashing a century off 35 balls.

In men's T20 cricket, he also became the youngest player to score a century at the age of 14 as the Royals eventually ended their five-game losing run to preserve their slender prospects of making the playoffs, thanks to Suryavanshi's electrifying ton.

Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, have had a remarkable season turnaround, winning five straight games to take second place in the standings. Previously in ninth place, the Hardik Pandya-led team has swiftly recovered and settled into a groove. Mumbai will do everything they can in the match against Royals to stay in the top two.

RR vs MI, IPL 2025: What to expect?

Like the last game played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, this fixture is probably going to be a high-scoring affair. The ball will come on beautifully to the bat, especially early on, because the pitch will be hard with a fair amount of grass covering it. While bowlers must adhere to proper lines and lengths during the powerplay as batters will look to play their shots from the word go.

In the second innings, dew is probably going to be a factor, making it harder for bowlers to grip the ball. It is anticipated to be a good hitting wicket with an even bounce, while spinners may get some assistance when the pitch dries up.
