Royal Challengers Bengaluru displayed exceptional bowling and fielding to clinch a 47-run victory against Delhi Capitals, keeping their IPL playoff hopes alive on Sunday. Despite scoring 187/9, boosted by Rajat Patidar's impressive half-century, RCB efficiently bowled out Delhi for 140 in 19.1 overs.

With their fifth consecutive win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have intensified the competition on the points table. Delhi's loss is a significant setback, leaving them in a similar position to Bengaluru.

Delhi will be shocked by this defeat, as a win would have significantly improved their playoff prospects. However, they now lag behind Bengaluru in terms of net run rate and are almost out of contention. Despite Shai Hope and Axar Patel's batting contributions, Delhi fell short. Axar's half-century was in vain, as Delhi were convincingly defeated.

Earlier in the game, Delhi opted to bowl first. The match began with an entertaining start, witnessing a couple of wickets falling and runs flowing in the Powerplay. Rajat Patidar impressed with consecutive fifties, while Will Jacks also made a solid contribution with a score in the forties.
