Significance of Tritiya Shraddha
Tritiya Shraddha is an important day to remember and pay respects to one's ancestors. It is believed that performing these rituals helps in appeasing the souls of the departed and brings peace and prosperity to the family. Families gather to perform the rituals together, which include Tarpan and Pind Daan, to ensure the spiritual progress of their ancestors.

Pitru Paksha Shraddhas, including Tritiya Shraddha, are known as Parvan Shraddhas. They are usually performed during the Kutup Muhurat and Rohina Muhurat, as these times are considered most auspicious for conducting the rituals. The Tarpan, an offering of water and prayers, is conducted at the end of the Shraddha.

This ritual is not only a way to honour the deceased but also a time for families to reflect on their heritage and traditions. It strengthens family bonds and reminds members of the values and teachings passed down through generations.
