Renowned Bollywood actor Anupam Kher recently experienced a deeply emotional moment at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj. On Wednesday, the actor took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam, where the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge.

Sharing his spiritual experience with fans, Anupam Kher posted a video on Instagram, offering a glimpse of the ritual. In the video, he is seen chanting mantras and offering prayers. Expressing his emotions, he described this as a life-altering moment, saying, “Life became successful by taking a dip at Ganga in Mahakumbh! For the first time, I chanted mantras at the place where Maa Ganga, Yamuna ji, and Saraswati ji meet. While praying, tears came out of my eyes.”

Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Kher noted the coincidence of it falling exactly a year after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. He ended his post with the phrase, “Hail Sanatan Dharma,” reaffirming his spiritual beliefs.

Kher arrived in Prayagraj on Tuesday, expressing his enthusiasm for participating in the spiritual gathering. In a brief interaction with ANI, he lauded the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for organizing the Maha Kumbh Mela with such precision and safety.

“I am here to participate in this spiritual gathering. It feels so good to see people from all walks of life here. I also applaud the Uttar Pradesh government and CM Yogi Adityanath for organizing this historic festival in a responsible and safe manner,” said Kher.

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 has seen participation from various dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister, accompanied by Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, also took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya spoke about the indescribable joy of taking the holy dip, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the moment. He stated, “The joy cannot be described in words. A joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Cabinet was held here today at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Tough decisions have also been taken, and preparations for the Ardh Kumbh of 2031 have already begun during this Mahakumbh of 2025.”
