In China's Guangdong province, major rivers, waterways, and reservoirs are on the verge of causing hazardous floods, prompting the government to implement emergency response measures to safeguard over 127 million individuals. Describing the situation as "dire," regional meteorological authorities noted that sections of rivers and tributaries in the Xijiang and Beijiang river basins are experiencing unprecedented water levels, with a rarity of occurrence estimated at one-in-50 years, as reported by the state broadcaster CCTV news on Sunday. China's Ministry of Water Resources issued an emergency advisory, according to CCTV.
