Adani-Hindenburg case verdict explained | SC says no ground to transfer probe from SEBI to SIT

The Supreme Court on January 3 dismissed the pleas seeking transfer of the probe into allegations of violations of securities laws by the Adani group companies to a special investigation team. This comes almost a year after the Hindenburg Research came out with a damning report against the Adani Group. The court said there was no need to question the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India’s investigation and asked SEBI to complete the remaining two of the 24 probes in three months.
