Market Live: Nifty below 21,600, Sensex plunges 1,628 points; Nifty bank down 4% | Bajar Gupshup

Market registered a biggest single-day fall in last 1.5 years with Nifty below 21,600. Biggest losers on the Nifty were HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank and Hindalco Industries, while gainers were HCL Technologies, SBI Life Insurance, Infosys, LTIMindtree and TCS.Among sectors, except Information Technology, all other indices are trading in the red with bank index down 4 percent, and auto, metal, oil & gas realty down 1-2 percent.
