Cotton prices are ruling firm in the spot as well as in futures market on subdued arrivals in the physical market. Farmers are holding their stocks because of currency shortage in the market. As per reports, India has contracted around 6 lakh bales for export to countries including Bangladesh and Vietnam and traders are finding it difficult to meet contractual obligations because of supply shortage in the physical market.By: Skymetweather.com
