Vir Das said that he may have to reschedule his Dublin show due to the visa trouble.

Actor-comedian Vir Das has shared a problem he faced during his Mind Fool Tour in Europe -- he was denied a double entry visa by the Swedish Embassy. The move could also disrupt his performances, especially the one scheduled in Dublin on October 7.

The Emmy Award winner said that Sweden gave him a single entry visa and rejected that of his tour assistant because they did not believe he would return to India.

"Applied for a double entry Schengen. The Swedish embassy in their infinite wisdom give me a single entry one and reject my tour assistant saying they don’t believe he’s going to return to India. Now I have to push a Dublin show because I can’t leave Schengen. What a week!" the 45-year-old wrote on X.

Das's post on Saturday received more than a lakh views and people suggested he use the incident as content for his show.

"Include in your show, while there, a segment about how crazy, racist, and bureaucratic the visa processes are," commented Apurv Nagpal (@apurvnagpal).

"Same here," wrote Kshitij Gaikar (@kshitijgaikar). "I applied for multiple entry Schengen and got single entry. Always apply for multiple entries. I do not understand this Visa game. Schengen area should have multiple years tourist visa like the US or Australia."

Vir Das is on tour in Sweden for his scheduled show in Stockholm on September 30.
