Rivaba Jadeja reacts to allegations made by her father-in-law: 'You can contact me directly...'

Ravindra Jadeja released a statement on X (formerly Twitter) in Gujarati on Friday in which he said his father had tried to tarnish his wife's image through his words.

Even as he was recovering from a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the second Test against England at Visakhapatnam, Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja found himself in the news for reasons away from cricket after his father Aniruhsinh Jadeja gave an explosive interview, in which he said that his daughter-in-law Rivaba Jadeja had caused a rift in the family.

A few days after the interview was shared on the internet, Rivaba reacted to her father-in-law's comments and urged others to speak to her directly if they wish to know more about the existing issues in the family.

"Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know about it," Rivaba said at a press conference.

Jadeja released a statement on X (formerly Twitter) in Gujarati on Friday in which he said his father had tried to tarnish his wife's image through his words.

"Let’s ignore what’s said in the scripted interviews. “The things mentioned in the dubious interview to Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and false. Those are one-sided comments that I deny them. The attempt to tarnish the image of my wife is improper and condemnable. I too have a lot to say but it is better that I don’t reveal those things in public," Jadeja had written on X (formerly Twitter).

Jadeja's father had said in the interview he had no relation with the cricketer and revealed that a few months after the couple's marriage, Rivaba said that she wanted everything to be transferred to her name.
