The last moments of the IPL 2025 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday brought much of Karnataka to a standstill as, with bated breath, they watched Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) inch closer to the historic win they had been waiting 18 years for. The match also brought a wedding to a halt as guests joined the bride and groom as they stood glued to the television screen and erupted in cheers as RCB beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) to finally win the IPL trophy.

A video of the incident is doing the rounds on social media as an example of exactly what the win meant to RCB fans. As an X user out it, "The moment was not just about cricket—it was about emotions, dedication, and the unshakable bond fans share with their team."

But if emotions were running this high among fans, it would be easy to imagine what Virat Kohli must have been feeling at the win. "King Kohli" was seen in tears moments before RCB clinched their maiden IPL glory.

His wife and actor Anushka Sharma joined the celebrations soon after the match, and the two shared an emotional hug, showcasing what it meant to India's premier batter, who scored 43 off 35 balls in the finale.

"This win is as much for the fans as it is for the team. It's been 18 long years. I've given this team my youth, prime and experience. I've tried to win it every season, gave it everything I have. To finally have it is an unbelievable feeling. Never thought this day would come, I was overcome with emotion after the last ball was bowled. Gave each and every ounce of my energy and it's an amazing feeling," Kohli told the broadcasters while RCB were celebrating their win.
