The process began in June when Singh received an email from her college, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology's Training and Placement cell inviting her to apply for the internship. Following this, she participated in a virtual career talk hosted by Google and took an online assessment. The assessment comprised two challenging questions focused on graphs and dynamic programming, testing her problem-solving skills at a high level.

Singh was subsequently shortlisted for the interview rounds, which were scheduled almost immediately, providing little time for additional preparation. She described the interviews as intense, with each round concentrating on data structures, algorithms, and overall problem-solving abilities. The first interview lasted 50 minutes and presented her with two complex questions that demanded deep understanding and quick thinking. The second interview, lasting 45 minutes, followed a similar pattern, reinforcing the rigorous nature of Google’s selection process.

Reflecting on her achievement, Singh expressed her disbelief and excitement, stating, “This is a dream come true. I had never thought about clearing the first interview of my life, that too at GOOGLE.”
