A man who entered a store in Gurgaon looking for an office bag ended up spending Rs 20,000 in one go. Pranay Loya shared his experience on LinkedIn and how he spent that sum in just 15 minutes due to a really dedicated salesman.

Loya, who is a senior associate at Bain and Company, mentioned that he entered a DailyObjects store in Gurgaon's popular locality Cyber Hub. He had gone simply to buy an office bag but encountered an enthusiastic employee eager to sell the products. “Jokingly, I said, 'Aap ye product toh aise bech rahe ho jaise apki company hai!' (You are selling products as if it is your company),” Loya wrote.

Interestingly, he was actually interacting with Pankaj Garg, the co-founder of the Indian tech accessories and lifestyle brand. “It was a bit awkard,” Loya remarked about the moment. He also detailed his experience and wrote, “He looked at me, smiled, and continued to show different products. During the conversation, he told me that: He has travelled all across India and over 25+ countries to get trends & design inspiration, collaborated with over 500+ craftsmen, served over 2.5+ million customers. The passion to sell, the hunger to grow, and the vision to be the best could be seen in his eyes.”

Leaving the store with a Rs 20k bill and multiple bags in hand, I reflected on more than just a purchase,” he added.

Loya also hailed Garg for his unwavering passion and commitment and thanked him for making his routine shopping trip into a “memorable encounter with entrepreneurship”.

“I love being in Gurgaon. You bump into celebrities and startup founders randomly at unexpected places!” he concluded.

“I love DailyObjects. I’ve received so many compliments for my bag & I don’t know what is with their products, you just can’t stop buying after one or two,” a user wrote.

Another user commented, “Nice share. Founder knows the value of customers.”

“That’s such a cool store! Legit living up to the expectations I had from seeing the ads. Also, what did you purchase?” a third user questioned.

A fourth user added, “Wishing you continued enjoyment of your purchases and more serendipitous experiences in the future!”
