Upskilling has gained increased importance, in recent years, across various industries as professionals look to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a suggestion to those looking to master new skills, urging to them follow the "100-hour rule", which refers to allotting 100 hours to "deliberate practice" to any new skill and one could master it with the time spent working on it.
"The most common question I keep getting is: "How do I learn something that is not in my niche?" The answer? Apply the 100-hour rule. Commit 100 hours of deliberate practice to any new skill, and you'll master it," Alagh wrote on the platform on Wednesday.
Speaking from personal experience, Alagh said that the mindset helped her acquire skills that she never knew when she was starting out.
