Pallavi Dhanraj Wale, a resident of Solapur, Maharashtra, has transformed her passion for health into a thriving enterprise by producing a healthy jaggery tea powder premix. Approximately four to five years ago, Pallavi left her banking career to focus on her family and embarked on creating a healthier alternative to traditional tea by replacing sugar with jaggery. This initiative has grown into a business generating around Rs 5 lakh in monthly revenue.

Pallavi's success mirrors a broader trend of entrepreneurs capitalising on the health benefits of jaggery. For instance, a jaggery tea franchise has expanded to over 350 outlets across India, blending traditional flavours with modern health awareness. Similarly, three entrepreneurs from Punjab have transformed jaggery into a global business by focusing on quality and innovation. In another example, the founders of Gudworld have redefined jaggery as a daily sweetener, introducing innovative products like jaggery cubes and powders to cater to contemporary tastes.

Similarly, Nitin Nagare from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, embarked on a journey to create a jaggery-based tea that wouldn't curdle when mixed with milk—a common challenge in traditional preparations. After extensive experimentation, he developed a unique formula for jaggery tea, ensuring consistent taste and quality. Nagare's venture, Foodia Jaggery Tea, now offers a range of products that cater to health-conscious consumers seeking alternatives to sugar-laden beverages.

In Ludhiana, Punjab, 27-year-old Navnoor Kaur revolutionised the jaggery market by launching 'Jagger Cane'. Collaborating with local farmers, she ensured a sustainable supply chain for producing healthy jaggery infused with nuts and seeds. Navnoor's innovative approach has not only provided consumers with a healthier sweetener but also supported the local agricultural community.

Another notable example is Isha Jhawar from Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. At just 23, she founded 'Repeat Gud', aiming to redefine jaggery consumption for modern consumers. Her innovative pitch on Shark Tank India Season 4 garnered significant attention, highlighting the potential of traditional products in contemporary markets.
