An IndiGo passenger was arrested after he was caught on camera, attacking the pilot of a flight who was making an announcement about a delay in departure. In a video shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user from an Instagram handle, the flight was allegedly delayed by 13 hours and while making an announcement, the flyer, identified as Sahil Katariya, got up from the seat and attacked the pilot.
A Times of India report said that the incident took place on a flight that was leaving Delhi and going towards Goa. Later in the video, another passenger could be seen coming down the aisle to stop the passenger from attacking the pilot.
The X (formerly Twitter) user, identified as Capt_CK, wrote in the caption that the passenger ran from the last row of the aircraft to attack the pilot, who had replaced the previous crew.
"A passenger punched an Indigo captain in the aircraft as he was making delay announcement. The guy ran up from the last row and punched the new captain who replaced the previous crew who crossed FDTL. Unbelievable !"

"What does the pilot or cabin crew have to do with the delay? They were just doing their job. Arrest this man, and put him on the no-fly list. Publish his picture so people are aware of his bad temper in public," one user wrote.
"That’s insane. People like this should be banned from flying or should be blacklisted. Crew aren’t safe at all, imagine how dangerous such people could be on board or in cruise," another user wrote.
Flyer apologises for behavior, likely to be added to 'no-fly' list
After attacking the pilot, Katariya was taken away by authorities and in a video released on X (formerly Twitter) could be seen apologising for his behavior.
