The identity of the passenger and the reason behind the suicide attempt is unknown.

A London-bound flight from Bangkok was forced to make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport on Friday after a passenger attempted suicide inside the airplane bathroom, The Metro reported.

The passenger was discovered by the cabin crew while the plane was descending. They noticed someone in the restroom. Upon checking on the passenger, they found him in a condition that suggested a possible suicide attempt, as per The Metro.

The identity of the passenger was not revealed and the reason behind the suicide attempt was also not known. Crew members and a doctor onboard provided first-aid to the passenger.

The plane landed at around 7.30 pm local time where medics were waiting to transport the passenger to the hospital. There are currently no updates on the passenger's condition. The incident was also confirmed by EVA Air but no details were provided.

Meanwhile, two pilots flying a Batik Air flight carrying 157 passengers dozed off simultaneously, leading the aircraft to deviate from its course in Indonesia. The incident occurred on January 25 during a flight from Kendari to Jakarta.

AFP reported that the two pilots have been "temporarily suspended," and the airline, Batik Air, is yet to respond to inquiries.

In another incident in January, a Ryanair flight from UK to Spain was forced to make an emergency landing in Portugal due to a fight among passengers.

A co-passenger who recorded the entire incident told Daily Mail that the brawl happened after a group of men, seemingly drunk, started harassing female passengers onboard.

"There was a group of men who appeared to have been drinking who were bothering some female passengers. When it started to get a bit out of hand one of the stewards tried to intercede and ended up getting knocked over. At this point the captain gave a warning over the tannoy that unacceptable behaviour would not be tolerated and if it did not stop we would divert to Portugal," a passenger was quoted as saying.
