After the rave reviews received by the Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid, Baaghi 2 - starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani - has managed to keep up the momentum at the box office.
Collecting over Rs 45 crore in two days, the movie is well on its way to cross the Rs 100 crore. Analysts are also chuffed with the response the movie has got at the ticket counters. Taran Adarsh said the film is a combination of good writing, electrifying action, competent direction (Ahmed Khan) and winning performances.
According to Boxofficeindia, the film is expected to beat the collections of flicks like Pad Man in 4-5 days and Raid within a week.
The film has another record to its credit. Tiger’s lucky venture this time did a record opening day business in Bihar, grossing Rs 1.27 crore, beating Baahubali - The Conclusion, which had a collection of Rs 1.08 crore there.
Hichki has held up well on its second Saturday as it grossed around Rs 2.25-2.50 crore. The drop is just around 25-30% from the first day which clocked Rs 3.25 crore. The holiday factor has helped the film to get such a strong second Friday but it should should hold over the weekend and eclipse the box office collection of Tumhari Sulu in ten days flat. The film has grossed Rs 28.25 crore approximately in eight days.
Raid, on the other hand, did business of close to Rs 1.75 crore on its third Friday. This is a good number considering the phenomenal performance of Baaghi 2.
