Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the land for the Pune international airport would be finalised in three weeks.
"We have identified three locations for the proposed international airport and a team including the director of Airport Authority of India will visit and inspect these three lands and after that, within three weeks, the land will be finalised," he said.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a round-table meeting of representatives of the US companies at Chakan in the district.
Stating that his government was taking efforts to increase the ease of doing business and cut red tape, Fadnavis exhorted the US companies to invest more in the state.
"Initiatives like Make In India and Make In Maharashtra are creating a lot of opportunities for the industry and US companies should cash in on these opportunities," he said.
Pune is rapidly growing as an automobile hub and it will soon turn into a start-up hub as well, he added.
