French President Emmanuel Macron, who was the chief guest at India's 75th Republic Day celebrations in Delhi on Friday, paid a visit to the Nizamuddin dargah in the national capital later in the evening.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Macron could be seen enjoying the qawwali performance at the shrine and as per those present at the dargah, he remained at the shrine for more than 30 minutes after arriving at around 9:45 pm in the night.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu received her French counterpart at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and hosted a banquet in his honour.
The dargah is the mausoleum of the famous Sufi Nizamuddin Auliya and his disciple Amir Khusrau.

Macron watched India's 75th Republic Day celebrations at the Kartavya Path, joining a select group of global leaders to have graced the nation's biggest ceremonial event in the last seven decades. It was the sixth time that a French leader was the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
