After receiving heavy rainfall on Monday, Mumbai had some brief respite for a while. However, the Meteorology Department has predicted heavy rainfall on Tuesday as well. Presently, the trains and flights are on time.
The rains on Monday left many areas in the city waterlogged, one dead and four injured in its wake. Parts of Dadar Hind Mata and many roads were waterlogged. Low-lying areas across the city were flooded. The municipal corporation had to press 110 water pumps into service to drain out excess water from the streets. Many Mumbaikkars used social media to coordinate carpools to help out those who were stranded. Heavy rainfall triggered a landslide in Chuna-bhatti, leaving four injured. Rajasthan: Jaipur, Ajmer flooded While the Met had predicted mild to moderate showers for Jaipur as well, the city received heavy rains during peak traffic hours on Monday. Within minutes, roads were waterlogged and cars stranded. Parts of eastern Rajasthan also received heavy rainfall. Ajmer Sharif is battling a flood-like situation. The city received 92 millimetres of rainfall. Many areas were filled with two - four feet of water. The Ajmer Sharif Dargah wasn't spared either. Traffic movement was restricted in some areas.
