Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud sang Christmas carols at the Christmas day program in the Supreme Court on Monday. Along with others, Chief Justice Chandrachud was seen singing "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer" and "Jingle Bells" at the event.
The event was organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association where the CJI was the chief guest. Surrounded by clapping colleagues and members of the bar, Chandrachud first crooned "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer".
Then, he said "Okay now the great one" before belting out "Jingle Bells" with an enthusiastic crowd that joined in.

“We lost four members of our armed forces a few days ago. So as we celebrate Christmas, let us not forget those on the borders who are spending these cold mornings protecting us and our nation. When we sing, we also sing for them in celebration,” he told at the court gathering.
DY Chandrachud, 64, has been the CJI since November 22 and will retire in November 2024.
