Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has signed three new brands in the last one year, taking his total portfolio to 43.
The new brands he has added to the list of brands he endorses include motorcycle manufacturing company Ducati, luxury jewelry brand Tiffany and beverage firm Pepsi.
Singh was the most valuable celebrity in 2022, according to valuation advisory services, Kroll's Celebrity Brand Valuation Report.
The actor with the largest brand portfolio of 40 endorsements in 2022 had surpassed cricketer Virat Kohli, who had topped celebrity brand value rankings for five consecutive years until 2021.
In 2022, Singh's brand value moved up to $181.7 million from $158.3 million in the previous year. He had jumped up a rank in 2022 from being second most valuable celebrity in 2021.
While Bollywood's performance lagged in 2021, Ranveer Singh did well with a big brand portfolio. Also, he went beyond Bollywood with associations like Fifa, Yas Island, among others which continued that pull from fans. Brand experts note that due to his bold personality and connect with the youth, he is able to connect a lot more with brands than any other celebrity.
His social media following across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram over the last three years has grown at 7.5 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Singh's social media following has increased from 61.9 million in 2020, 66.7 million in 2021 and 71.6 million in 2022. He had an estimated reach of 2.5 million as of November 2022. The engagement rate he recorded per post was o.9 percent.
Engagement rate refers to percent of the audience who like or comment the posts (engage with the content) on the Instagram page.
The actor also made his first startup investment in beauty brand SUGAR cosmetics in 2022.
His last release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani did not make a splash at the box office and earned around Rs 147 crore with a budget of around Rs 200 crore. However, the film did well in the overseas market, adding another Rs 165 crore to total collections.
Singh's upcoming ventures include Singham Again, Don 3, Takht, and Shaktimaan, among others.
