MyGate, the community management app, shuffled its top deck and has named co-founder and chief operating officer Abhishek Kumar the new chief executive officer (CEO).
As COO, Kumar used to report to co-founder and CEO Vijay Arisetty, who has now been made the chairman of the company’s board.
"As I transition into the role of Chairman, I reflect with immense pride on the journey of MyGate thus far. Abhishek's pivotal role in fostering a culture centred on people-first principles and driving efficient, scalable execution has been instrumental to our success,” Arisetty said
Co-founder and CTO Shreyans Daga will take on additional responsibilities across product, technology and new business initiatives, the company said in a release on April 3.
The changes are primarily because several core employees from MyGate, like Suraj HS, former manager of new initiatives, left to start Aurm, a bank locker security venture, reports said.
“With Abhishek, Shreyans, and our dedicated leadership team at the helm, I am confident that MyGate is primed to expand our current business ventures and explore new verticals in the years ahead,” Arisetty added.
MyGate elevated Rohit Jindal to the position of Chief Business Officer (CBO) in October, as per his LinkedIn profile. He was earlier the business head.
The company said it is well capitalised for its next phase of growth. The company claimed it clocked a revenue of more than Rs 100 crore in FY24, a growth of around 30 percent from the previous fiscal year. It did not provide more details. It is yet to file its FY24 results with the ministry of corporate affairs.
Subscriptions from Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and advertising partnerships, which drive the company’s revenue, helped MyGate reach over 4 million families, it said in a statement.
