LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the open-world action-adventure video game inspired by several versions of Batman, has a confirmed release date. The Batman game will launch on May 29, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Developer TT Games announced the release date of the upcoming LEGO Batman game with a World Premiere Trailer during The Game Awards 2025.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is currently under development and will be published by Warner Bros. Games.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight features seven playable characters from DC Comics: Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul. Each character comes with a unique set of fighting skills and gadgets. For example, Batgirl has her hackarangs, Nightwing will use a battle staff, while Jim Gordon was shown using a foam spray in the earlier Gamescom trailer. The new Heroes and Villains trailer showcases the acrobatic skills of Robin and the cartwheel kicks of Catwoman as well. Selina Kyle can also call in some ‘cat-backup’ if she wants.
You can choose to go on a solo, Batman-befitting adventure in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight or partner with a friend or family member through two-player local couch cooperative gameplay (no internet connection required to play). Note that the game does not support online co-op gameplay. But you’ll be required to download the game updates via the internet.
