Volkswagen is developing the Tiguan X, a coupe-styled Tiguan exclusively for China and pictures of the car have already made their way to the internet.
An Instagram account called CocheSpias managed to grab images of the car and true to the coupe style, the Tiguan X features a heavily raked roofline along with major changes to the rear of the SUV.
The main change at the rear is a tail lamp design that is similar to Lamborghini while the bumper has been widened as well. Fake exhaust tips have also been added for better a better visual treat.

The rest of the car remains fairly unchanged. It sports the same front fascia along with the rest of the lines of the car. The side profile gives you a better angle of the coupe-like sloping roof and raked rear.
There is no official word on what the powertrain options will be, but rumours suggest a turbo-charged 2-litre engine in two states of tune – 189 PS and 223 PS.
The Tiguan X follows the launch of the Tayron X, another coupe variant of the Chinese Tayron SUV. The Volkswagen Tiguan X is expected to be unveiled in China later this year, and while it is exclusive to the Chinese market, it could be introduced globally later.
The standard Tiguan has been face-lifted however and is expected to be launched soon in India but this time, with only a petrol engine.
