At its fourth Made on YouTube event, YouTube unveiled a slate of new features aimed at helping creators work faster and connect more deeply with their audiences. Unsurprisingly, AI is at the centre of it all.

For Shorts, YouTube is baking in Veo 3 Fast integration to generate first drafts at speed, alongside a new quick edit workflow. There’s also Speech to Song, a playful tool that can transform spoken dialogue into music, making short-form content easier and catchier.

In YouTube Studio, creators get fresh support with Ask Studio, a conversational AI assistant that can surface insights, answer channel-specific questions, and suggest growth strategies. More practical yet: the long-awaited arrival of A/B testing for video titles, and improved auto-dubbing with realistic lip syncing to help content travel globally without losing its polish.

Podcasters are also getting attention. YouTube will now help automatically generate video for audio-only podcasts, while AI tools will assist in cutting clips and making Shorts from longer episodes. For creators who’ve been juggling between platforms, this could be the nudge to treat YouTube as their all-in-one hub.

Meanwhile, the music crowd isn’t left out. Fans will soon be able to pre-save albums or singles and watch a countdown to release, while artists gain new tools to reward top fans directly. Add in easier brand deals and Shopping integrations, and YouTube’s pitch is clear: fewer barriers, faster creation, and deeper monetisation.

2025 might be YouTube’s most creator-first year yet.
