Prior to its launch at the Geneva Motor Show next month, McLaren Automotive has revealed prices and more than impressive performance figures of its latest hyper car the 650S. The latest offering from the British manufacturer is available in Coupe and Spider variants. The Coupe starts from 195,250 pounds and the Spider is priced a bit higher at 215,250 pounds, on-road in UK.[caption id="attachment_70854" align="aligncenter" width="586"]

2015 McLaren 650S Coupe[/caption]Engine is a mid mounted 3.8litre, twin-turbo V8 delivering 650PS peak power output and 678Nm of maximum torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed SSG gearbox and 0-100kmph is achieved in a claimed 3 seconds flat with 200kmph coming up in a mind boggling 8.4 seconds. In perspective, the 650s is faster than the legendary F1 road car by 0.6s in the quarter mile run and a whole second faster to 200kmph.
Top speed is 333kmph. Braking duties are handled by 394mm and 380mm carbon ceramic discs at the front and rear respectively along with most of the stopping power being provided by the McLaren Airbrake system. The manufacturer says that the 650S weighs only 1330kg and will give a combined fuel consumption figure of 10kmpl.Despite its hyper car heritage, creature comforts abound on the inside.
The cabin is done in Alacantara with standard features such as DAB digital radio, IRIS satellite navigation with Bluetooth telephony, audio streaming and voice control, wireless tethering while options are carbon racing seats, rear parking camera and an electrically adjustable steering column to aid entry-exit maneuvers.Here is the image gallery of the McLaren 650s[table id=136 /]
