With the launch of the XUV700 getting ever closer, the company has been teasing the SUV more and more. Just recently, a teaser of the Booster Headlamps was released and this time, Mahindra has decided to tease us with the sun roof.
The XUV700 will be Mahindra’s offering in the 7-seater SUV segment. Based on the XUV500, the new SUV is set to be loaded with tech and features to compete with the others in the segment.
The booster headlamps that Mahindra teased earlier is tech that is available in most luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz and BMW. At speeds of 80 km/h and above, the car automatically switches the headlamp into high-beam to allow for better visibility for the driver.
The new video released on the company’s YouTube channel teases what Mahindra is calling a skyroof. According to the teaser, the sunroof is so large, “you might think you’re in a convertible”. This is supposed to be the largest sunroof in the segment.
Of course, no other details have been shared yet, but we expect the XUV700 to be powered by the 130PS 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and 150PS 2-litre mStallion petrol engines that power the Mahindra Thar. On the XUV700, expect a higher state of tune.
The Mahindra XUV700 is expected to be launched soon. A spy image stating that production was to begin in July was recently uploaded to Instagram, so a launch should happen shortly after that, in August most likely. In terms of competition, the XUV700 will go up against the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the recently launched Hyundai Alcazar.
