The decline comes a day after Wall Street witnessed a broad-based rally on Trump's pause on reciprocal tariffs.
The S&P 500 index rose 1.1% as of 10:11 a.m. Eastern. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 262 points, or 0.8%, to 32,417 and the Nasdaq rose 1.2%.
The BSE benchmark Sensex today recovered by over 194 points in early trade on fresh buying by funds and retailers on expectations of a rate cut by the Reserve Bank in its monetary policy review next week.
