In Kutch, RIL also plans to build facilities for production of green ammonia, green methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel.

"NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), a 100 per cent subsidiary of NTPC, has emerged winner at the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) auction for 450 MW of solar projects at the Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh," the company said in a clarification to the BSE.
The 4,750-megawatt (MW) renewable energy park at Rann of Kutch in Khavada Gujarat will be set up by NTPC Renewable Energy ltd.
The Swedish firm's technology will be used for Phase 4 of the project which is jointly owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power and Chinese state-owned Silk Road Fund.
Initially, the plan was to build a solar park of 2,000 MW capacity, but an additional 50 MW was added to generate a total of 2050 MW.
The proposed solar power generation project would be set up in 11,000 hectares of land with an investment of Rs 25,000 crore, said an official release.
Announcing the commissioning of the balance 64 MW today, Tata Power said with this, the operating renewable portfolio of TPREL has grown to 1,959 MW, comprising 907 MW wind, 932 MW solar and 120 MW waste heat recovery capacity.

"Company's 100 percent subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has won two Solar grid connected photovoltaic projects of 50 mw capacity each in Pavagada Solar Park in the Tumkur district of Karnataka," the company said in a statement.
"The lowest tariff was quoted at Rs 4.78 per unit in the auction concluded yesterday by the NTPC Ltd for its solar capacity at Pavagada Solar Park in Tumkur district of Karnataka," a source said.
