Hyundai Motor on December 20 unveiled the new-gen KONA with a futuristic design. The Kona will be available in four variants, including all-electric (EV), hybrid electric (HEV), internal combustion engine (ICE) and sporty N Line.
The recall mostly concerns the Kona EV, Hyundai's biggest-selling electric car which was first recalled late last year for a software upgrade after a spate of fires. One of the recalled Kona EVs caught fire in January, however, and South Korean authorities launched a probe into whether the first recall had been adequate.
Moneycontrol's Shraddha Sharma talks to Swaraj Baggonkar to find out Hyundai's India strategy.
The ZS is 134mm longer, 9mm wider and 74mm taller than the Kona.
The reduced Kona Electric price is effective from August 1, 2019, Hyundai Motor India said in a statement.
Kona will have no direct competitor in the electric segment as of now, but from a compact SUV standpoint, will go up against the likes of the Jeep Compass and Honda CR-V.
