The opening day of Auto Expo 2023 saw some of the top launches and unveils from Tata Motors, MG Motors, Hyundai, Kia, BYD and many more. Electric vehicles stole the limelight on the first day of motor show on January 11.
The BYD Atto 3 Forest Green Edition is limited to just 1,200 units in India. Aside from the green paint scheme, however, there are no significant changes to the car.
Hyundai launched Ioniq 5 EV in India on January 11 at the first day of Auto Expo 2023, in the presence of their brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. The Ioniq 5 crossover is priced at Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 500 customers.
MG Motor India launched the new Hector and Hector Plus at the Auto Expo 2023 at a starting price of Rs 14.72 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It also unveiled two electric vehicles —the MG4, a pure-electric hatchback and the MG EHS, a plug-in hybrid SUV

There will be 14 SUV unveils or rollouts at the expo, of which 9 will be petrol-powered and six will be EVs. As many as 30 EV manufacturers are participating in the show.
The MG 4 has been on sale internationally since the middle of 2022 and is still being evaluated for the Indian market. Expected to be the showstopper in the MG stall at the Auto Expo, the MG 4’s hatchback stance is only betrayed by its ZS EV rivaling size.
