After realty and metal stocks took a beating on the Street, the Nifty and Sensex plunged, snapping their four-day gaining streak on the bourses as investors booked partial profit ahead of the budget due on Tuesday next week. At close, the Sensex was down 0.9 percent at 80,604 and the Nifty was down 1.1 percent at 24,530. About 727 shares advanced, 2,656 shares declined, and 65 shares were unchanged.
