According to an NDTV report, the individuals arrested for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique have claimed ties with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, the Mumbai police have yet to release an official statement confirming the gang's involvement.

As per the ongoing investigation, the accused had been residing in Mumbai for the past few months and had conducted several reconnaissance missions before the attack.

"They received their weapons delivery just days ago," Mumbai Police officials told ANI, adding that the suspects have been interrogated by the Crime Branch for over eight hours.

Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray criticized the government, calling the incident a reflection of the "complete collapse of administration and law and order." Similarly, Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena UBT questioned the state of law enforcement in Mumbai, labelling the situation as deeply troubling.

According to CNBC-TV 18, on the night of the murder, they arrived at the scene in a Kali Peeli taxi and attempted to flee on foot after the shooting. However, two of them were swiftly captured by Siddique’s security team.
