Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly-recruited personnel in various central government departments on December 23 through videoconferencing, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The event, part of the Rozgar Mela initiative, aims to fulfill Modi’s commitment to prioritising employment generation. The ceremony will take place at around 10:30 am and will be attended virtually by recruits across the country. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.
Rozgar Mela is designed to offer meaningful employment opportunities to young people, enabling them to contribute to nation-building and achieve self-empowerment. The event will be held at 45 locations across the country, with recruits joining ministries and departments such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Department of Financial Services, among others.
The newly appointed recruits were selected from across the country, and their roles will support various central government ministries and initiatives.
