Flight fares in June 2019 saw a decline compared to the same period in 2018, as airlines procured more aircraft and saw an increase in seat capacity.
IndiGo on June 18 said it will order engines worth $20 billion from CFM International for its A320 neo and A321 neo aircraft. The airline also held a flash sale on June 14, selling tickets from Rs 999.
"Domestic routes witnessed a decline compared to the same period last year on multiple routes. This decline can be attributed to induction of aircraft by airlines and an increase in seat capacity on these routes. Travellers are advised to make the most of these fares and book tickets in advance," Sharat Dhall, COO (B2C), Yatra.com said.
