Maharashtra elections: Congress releases second list of 23 candidates, fields Girish Pandav from Nagpur South

The party has fielded Rajesh Tukaram Manvatkar from Bhusawal, Mahesh Gangane Wardha from Akot and Shekhar Pramodbabu Shende from Wardha

On Saturday, Congress released its second list of candidates

The Congress party on Saturday released second list of 23 candidates for the upcoming polls in Maharashtra. The party has fielded Rajesh Tukaram Manvatkar from Bhusawal, Mahesh Gangane Wardha from Akot and Shekhar Pramodbabu Shende from Wardha.

Girish Krushnarao Pandav has been fielded from Nagpur South and Sunil Kedar’s wife Anuja will contest from Savner.

Nagpur South: Girish Krushnarao Pandav

Kamthi: Suresh Yadavrao Bhoyar

Bhandara (SC): Puja Ganesh Thavkar

Arjuni-Morgaon (SC): Dalip Waman Bansod

Amgaon (ST): Rajkumar Lotuji Puram

Ralegaon: Vasant Chinduji Purke

Yavatmal: Balasaheb Shankarrao Mangulkar

Arni (ST): Jitendra Shivajirao Moghe

Umarkhed (SC): Sahebrao Dattrao Kamble

Jalna: Kalias Kisanrao Gortantyal

Aurangabad East: Madhukar Krishnarao Deshmukh

Vasai: Vijay Govind Patil

Kandivali East: Kalu Badheliya

Charkop: Yashwant Jayprakash Singh

Sion Koliwada: Ganesh Kumar Yadav

Shrirampur (SC): Hemant Ogale

Nilanga: Abhaykumar Satishrao Salunkhe

Shirol: Ganpatrao Appasaheb Patil

On Friday, the party had released its first list of 48 candidates. With this list, the Congress has now announced 71 candidates.

Elections in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20 and the counting of votes will take place on November 3.

The Congress asserted that there were no differences in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition. "The MVA is contesting unitedly and we have no differences," Ramesh Chennithala, who is the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Maharashtra, said.

"We will fight together to realise the dreams of the people of Maharashtra. We are confident that MVA will form the government," Chennithala said.
