Amravati, Maharashtra: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Today we have launched BJP's Sankalp Patra and Maha Vikas Aghadi's promises are only to get votes while PM Modi always fulfils the promises made to the public. Article 370 was removed, Ram Mandir was built in Ayodhya, Triple Talaq was abolished, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Uniform Civil Code was introduced. Waqf Amendment Act will also be passed in Parliament. In 10 years, PM Modi sent Rs 10 lakh 15 thousand 300 crores for the development of Maharashtra but when Maha Vikas Aghadi was in power, they sent only Rs 1 lakh 91 thousand crores... Vote for BJP."

On BJP's Sankalp Patra for Maharashtra Election2024, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "The Sankalp Patra has been launched by BJP and BJP always fulfils the promises that they make with the public...Sankalp Patra has been launched to develop Maharashtra and take every section of society forward. The double-engine government will be formed in Maharashtra.The public also understands that wherever the double-engine government of BJP is being formed, the states are progressing at a very fast pace. In Haryana, the public formed the BJP government for the third time."

On Maha Vikas Aghadi's manifesto, he says, "Congress and its allies ruled the country for almost sixty years, they did not conduct caste census in the country. So, now during the elections, they are just making these kinds of announcements to create confusion among the public for votes..They (Congress) did not fulfil the promises they made in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana.The public of Maharashtra will never vote for them..."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "For the first time, Lord Ram celebrated Diwali in the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Not just the Ram temple, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Somnath temple is also being built. When we removed Article 370, they (Maha Vikas Aghadi) opposed it, when we built the Ram temple, they (Maha Vikas Aghadi) opposed it. The Maha Vikas Aghadi is also opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. PM Modi has decided that the Waqf Act will be amended in Parliament and this right will not remain with the Waqf Board."

He (Rahul Gandhi) will not say anything good because this alliance (Maha Vikas Aghadi) is not built on principles.An organization of Ulema-I has written a letter to Congress demanding 10% reservation for Muslims in Maharashtra. They will cut the reservation being given to OBCs and Dalits...As long as there is a BJP MLA or MP in the Assembly or Parliament, minorities will not get reservation."

On MVA's manifesto for Maharashtra Election2024, State Congress chief Nana Patole says, "We have played out the idea of delivering justice to the people of the state. On that basis, we have promised a capable and corruption-free Maharashtra with good law and order. Emphasis has been made on farmers, youth, inflation and poverty."

On BJP's Sankalp Patra for Maharashtra Election 2024, party leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe said, "...We have compiled all the suggestions through a crowdsourcing mechanism & every section of the society have approached us, given their suggestions. We analysed them through some 18 different committees and then this has come about. So, it is a painstakingly prepared document. It is not just a compilation of some suggestions. We have applied our minds. We have taken care of every section of society. Ours could be the first party which has some provisions for senior citizens and there is a huge number of senior citizens in our country...All these things are very innovative. It reflects our out of the box approach and we are looking towards a bright future of this state and to that end, we have taken care of the aspirations of every other section of society."

Mallikarjun Kharge said, "The youth seeking jobs will be given a Rs 4000 monthly stipend... Our health insurance scheme of Rs 25 lakh was started by Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan and it will be implemented in Maharashtra as well. We promise to provide free medicines as well... We have decided to do a caste census and we will remove the 50% ceiling on reservation, in line with Tamil Nadu..."

BJP candidate from Jalgaon, Girish Mahajan said, "...Amit Shah is coming to Jalgaon today... There is great enthusiasm among people. There is no tussle. Everything is clear, Mahayuti will come back to power. People trust Mahayuti...We will get a mandate even clearer than the majority we received in 2019...When the results come on 23rd November, Opposition would know where they stand..."

The Shiv Sena did not lose its identity even after an alliance of three decades with the BJP and there was no question of it turning into Congress now, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Saturday.

The Sena (UBT) chief was speaking at a campaign rally at Hingoli for Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance candidates from Kalamnuri, Hingoli and Vasmat assembly segments ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra elections.

Replying to criticism by the BJP that the Sena led by him has become another version of the Congress, Thackeray said his party was a BJP ally for several years, but did not lose its identity.

"Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah come here and tell people that we (Shiv Sena-UBT) abandoned Balasaheb Thackeray's ideology. I did not leave the ideology, I left the BJP. The BJP is not Bal Thackeray's thoughts," he said.

Congress MLA brothers Amit Deshmukh and Dhiraj Deshmukh are pitted against their BJP challengers, including Congress stalwart Shivraj Patil Chakurkar's daughter-in-law Archana Patil Chakurkar, in Latur district for the November 20 elections.

The Deshmukh brothers are banking on the political legacy of their late father and ex-CM Vilasrao Deshmukh, a Congress bigwig from Latur district.

Former minister Amit Deshmukh will square off against Archana Patil in the Latur City segment while Dhiraj will take on BJP MLC Ramesh Karad in the Latur Rural seat.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari has said the Congress made amendments to the Constitution when in power, but makes an "emotional pitch" now that the BJP will make changes to it.

Speaking at multiple campaign rallies in Wardha district of Vidarbha region on Saturday ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections, Gadkari also said the BJP is a party of workers, while the Congress indulges in dynastic politics.

"They make an emotional pitch that if the BJP gets 400 seats (in the Lok Sabha), the Constitution will be changed. They lie," he said at Deoli.

The surveillance mounted by police in the run-up to the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections led to the seizure of cash amounting to Rs 8.16 lakh from two cars in Savner assembly constituency in Nagpur district.

The action was taken by Static Surveillance Teams (SST) on Friday, police said on Saturday.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray accused on Saturday NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar of promoting caste politics in Maharashtra for political gains since 1999.

Addressing a rally for the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections in Pune, Thackeray said Marathas are now pitted against OBCs in the latest edition of casteist politics.

"Sharad Pawar introduced caste politics in Maharashtra. Hatred has been spread in society for political gain. Earlier, caste tensions were spread between Brahmins and Marathas. Now casteism is being promoted between Marathas and OBCs," he alleged.

With the Mahayuti and MVA alliances locked in a fierce electoral contest and various narratives being set up by parties, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Saturday said the forthcoming elections are crucial for Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Addressing a poll rally at Sewri in Mumbai, Thackeray accused the BJP of taking big-ticket investments to Gujarat and "crushing the dreams" of Maharashtra's youths.
