The Mahagathbandhan parties have launched their manifesto for Bihar elections 2025 on Tuesday.

The leaders of the Mahagathbandhan including its Chief Ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress leader Pawan Khera unveiled the manifesto.

In the manifesto, the Mahagathbandhan parties have promised government jobs to all families in the state.

Within 20 days, one member from every family will be given a government job, the first point of the manifesto said, formalising the main promise Tejashwi Yadav has made to the voters.

The manifesto also said Jeevika Didis will be granted permanent status as government employees.

Making all contractual and outsourced workers permanent and reverting to the Old Pension Scheme are among the other salient points in the manifesto.

Emphasizing to protect the constitutional rights of all minority communities, the manifesto also promies to put the Waqf Amendment Act on hold. It said that the management of Waqf properties will be made more welfare-oriented and beneficial by making them transparent.

The manifesto also claimed to hand over the management of Buddhist temples located in Bodh Gaya to the Buddhist community.

The INDIA bloc manifesto talked about implementation of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

The manifesto promised that under the Mai-Behin Maan Yojana, the women of Bihar will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month from December 1, and Rs 30,000 per year for the next five years.

It also promises 200 units of free electricity for every family.

"Not only do we have to form the government in Bihar, we also have to make a new Bihar...The Mahagathbandhan alliance has released the Sankalp Patra for Bihar," said Tejashwi Yadav during the release.

Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was not present at the launch.

Congress leader Pawan Khera said that the Mahagathbandhan was the first to announce its chief ministerial candidates and has also released its manifesto first.

"This shows who is serious about Bihar. We decided from day one what we would do for Bihar. We have to get Bihar back on track. Today is a very auspicious day as the state of Bihar was waiting for this 'pran ptra'," he said.

Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief and Mahagathbandhan's Deputy CM face, Mukesh Sahani said, "...Today we have launched the Sankalp Patra for a new Bihar...For the next 30-35 years, we will work for the service of the people of Bihar. We will fulfil all the public's aspirations. We will complete all the promises made to the public."

He claimed that the public of the state is standing in support of the Mahagathbandhan, and attacked the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for not releasing its manifesto yet.

"We are forming the government in Bihar. On the other hand, the NDA has no 'Sankalp'," Sahani added.
