Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday took a sharp jibe at Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, stating that former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav and former UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi want to see their sons as Bihar Chief Minister and Prime Minister, respectively, there was no vacancy for both.

"Lalu Prasad ji wants to make his son the Chief Minister and Sonia ji wants to make her son the Prime Minister. I am telling both of them today that neither is the CM post vacant in Bihar nor is the PM post vacant in Delhi. In Bihar, Nitish Kumar ji is the CM and in Delhi, Narendra Modi ji is on the Prime Minister's post," Shah said addressing a rally in Bihar's Samastipur.

In his address, Shah also expressed confidence that the NDA would return to power with a clear majority and form a government in the state once again. "Do you want to know what the election result will be on the 14th? On the 14th, counting will start at 8 o'clock, ballot boxes will open at 9 o'clock, and by 1 o'clock, Lalu-Rahul's game will be up. And once again, an NDA government is going to be formed here."

Shah further said that the five NDA constituents are united like the Pandavas from Mahabharat and would emerge victorious. "Here in the NDA, all five parties are contesting the elections together, just like the 5 Pandavas. The NDA in Bihar has received the support of Mr. Modi, the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Nitish, Chirag Paswan's youthful enthusiasm is also with us, Jitan Ram Manjhi's lifelong penance is with us, and Mr. Upendra Kushwaha's experience is also with us," he said.

Shah is scheduled to address three rallies on Wednesday alongside a host of other senior BJP leaders, including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, among others.

Elections in Bihar are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 while the results will be declared on November 14. The term of the outgoing Assembly expires on November 22.
