A SpiceJet plane suffered a snag on Friday after its wheel fell off while it was taking off from the Kandla Airport.
The SpiceJet Bombardier Q400 aircraft faced a problem during its takeoff and was scheduled to depart for Mumbai. The flight was carrying 75 passengers, media reports have said.
The aeroplane, however, continued its journey and landed in Mumbai safely. The incident took place on September 12 when an outer wheel of a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft operating from Kandla to Mumbai was found on the runway after take-off.

Following a smooth landing, the aircraft taxied to the terminal under its own power, reports said, adding that all passengers disembarked normally. A full emergency was declared at the Mumbai Airport after that.
"An aircraft from Kandla made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) at 15:51 hrs on 12 September 2025 after reporting a technical issue. A full emergency was declared as a precaution. The aircraft landed safely on Runway 27, and all passengers and crew are safe. Normal operations resumed shortly after," a Mumbai Airport spokesperson said.
This comes about a week after an IndiGo flight from Kochi to Abu Dhabi (6E-1403) was forced to return to Cochin International Airport early Saturday after a technical issue was detected mid-air.
The Airbus A320neo aircraft, carrying over 180 passengers and six crew members, departed Kochi at 11:10 pm on Friday but turned back after being airborne for more than two hours. It landed safely at 1:44 am on Saturday. There were more than 180 passengers and six crew members onboard the aircraft.
IndiGo said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure, and the aircraft is now undergoing maintenance checks. A replacement aircraft with a new crew was arranged, and passengers departed for Abu Dhabi at around 3:30 am.
