Jangpura Assembly Constituency is one of the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi, went to polls on February 5. Jangpura is a general category assembly seat, situated in South East district. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress are in a triangular contest.

The result for Jangpura will be declared on February 8 (Saturday), along with the other 70 constituencies in Delhi. The counting of votes is scheduled to begin at 8 AM.

Jangpura Assembly Constituency: What happened in 2020 and 2015

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) candidate Praveen Kumar won the seat with 45,133 votes. The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) candidate, Impreet Singh Bakshi, received 29,070 votes, while the Indian National Congress's (INC) candidate, Tarvinder Singh Marwah, garnered 13,565 votes.

In the previous 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, AAP's Praveen Kumar also emerged victorious, securing 43,927 votes. The BJP's candidate Maninder Singh Dhir received 23,477 votes, and the Congress's Tarvinder Singh Marwah obtained 22,662 votes.

The total number of valid votes polled during the 2020 Delhi Assembly Elections was 88561 or 60.6% in the Jangpura Legislative Assembly Constituency. In 2015, the total number of valid votes in this Assembly seat was 90990 or  64.30%.
