Indore man rams ex-girlfriend with scooter after she refuses to reconcile

A young woman in Indore was allegedly attacked by her former boyfriend on Thursday evening after she refused to revive their relationship. The incident occurred in the Kalpana Nagar area.

According to investigators, the accused, who had been pressuring the victim to reconcile, grew aggressive when she continued to reject his advances. On Thursday, he allegedly rode his Activa scooter at high speed and deliberately targeted her on the road.

Eyewitnesses told police that the woman tried to defend herself by throwing a stone at him. However, the man accelerated and rammed his scooter into her before fleeing the spot. The victim sustained injuries and later lodged a complaint at Hiranagar Police Station.

Based on her statement, police have registered a case of assault, criminal intimidation, and intentional harm. Initial probe revealed that the accused is a repeat offender with at least seven criminal cases registered against him in different police stations across Indore.

“We have identified the accused and confirmed his criminal history. A manhunt has been launched, and he will be arrested soon,” a senior police officer said.

The victim is currently recovering, and police have assured that strict action will be taken once the accused is apprehended.
