The bypolls to 47 Assembly constituencies and one Parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala will be held on November 13, according to Election Commission of India.
Bypolls to one Assembly constituency in Uttarakhand will be held on November 20. Meanwhile, bypoll to one Parliamentary constituency (Nanded) in Maharashtra will be held on Novermber 20.
The last date for filing nominations is on October 25 and last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 30. Counting of votes will be done on November 23 and results will be announced on the same date.
Bypoll will be held in Wayanad as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resigned from the Lok Sabha seat in favour of retaining the Rae Bareli constituency. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has announced her candidature from the constituency. Her selection Wayanad is also said to be part of the Congress plans to expand its footprint in South India, especially in Kerala.
