CIDCO Lottery 2024: In a good news for aspiring homebuyers, the Maharashtra government has introduced the CIDCO Lottery 2024 - a mega housing scheme that provides affordable housing to the economically weaker sections (EWS) and lower-income groups (LIG) in the state.

The scheme was launched by the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO) in October 2024.

What is the CIDCO Lottery 2024?

The CIDCO Lottery 2024 is a housing scheme designed to provide affordable flats to residents of Maharashtra. CIDCO is a government body responsible for urban development. It has been working since its inception in 1970 to address the affordable housing needs in the state.

Under the initiative, which was unveiled by Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde, CIDCO will develop 26,502 housing units in Navi Mumbai, offering a significant opportunity for those seeking affordable homes. Applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 236.

When will the registeration begin?

The online registration for the scheme started on October 12 (Saturda) at 11 am registration for the CIDCO housing scheme is open. The last date for applying for the CIDCO lottery 2024 is November 11.

Who is eligible for the CIDCO Lottery 2024?

To be eligible for the CIDCO Lottery 2024, applicants must:

* Be permanent residents of Maharashtra
* Belong to either the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) or LIG (Lower-Income Group) categories
* Documents Required to Apply for CIDCO Lottery 2024

Applicants need the following documents:

  • AADHAAR Card
  • PAN Card
  • Income proof
  • Domicile certificate
  • Latest photograph
  • Co-applicant’s AADHAAR and PAN cards (if applicable)

How to Apply for CIDCO Lottery 2024?
  • Visit the official website here.
  • Click on the "Register" option and create an account.
  • Fill out the registration form with your details and upload the required documents.
  • Pay the booking amount based on your category:

INR 75,000 + GST for EWS
INR 1,50,000 + GST for 1 BHK LIG
INR 2,00,000 + GST for 2 BHK LIG

Review the application and submit it to complete the process.

What happens after the application?

CIDCO will release a draft list of eligible applicants once the payment window closes. If your name is missing from the list or there are discrepancies in the details, you can raise objections within 7 days of the list’s publication. CIDCO will resolve all objections within the same 7-day period, after which the final list of eligible applicants will be released.

Those whose applications are accepted will get a Letter of Intent (LOI) which will contain details of the remaining payment schedule. Those who are not successful will be refunded the booking amount within 30 days.
