The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday night released its third list of 18 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. With this announcement, the party has now declared the names of all 101 candidates for the two-phase Bihar election on November 6 and 11.
Among the key contests, the BJP has fielded Satish Kumar Yadav from Raghopur against RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who filed his nomination papers from the seat earlier this week, seeking a third consecutive win. Both Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, former chief ministers of Bihar and Tejashwi's parents, have previously represented the constituency.
Other prominent state leaders include Nand Kishor Ram (Ramnagar–SC), Sanjay Pandey (Narkatiaganj), Ram Singh (Bagaha) and former minister Vinay Bihari (Lauriya).

The first list of 71 candidates was released on October 14. The first list featured deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, contesting from Tarapur and Lakhisarai, respectively. Minister Mangal Pandey was fielded from Siwan while State Minister Nitin Nabin was named from Bankipur. The first list also included nine women candidates, including sitting Minister Renu Devi, who will seek re-election from the Bettiah assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, BJP allies Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), contesting on 101 seats, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), fighting on 29 seats, have also declared some of their candidates. Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) has also announced all of its six candidates for the polls.
